Why can't I use 划词翻译 in some pages such as Chrome / Firefox / Edge extension stores?

This is a security policy restriction of the browser itself, and no extension has permission to control certain pages, including but not limited to:

• Built-in pages of the browser, i.e. pages starting with protocols such as about://, chrome://, moz://, edge://, etc.
• Extension store pages of various browsers, such as Chrome does not allow use in the Chrome extension store, Edge does not allow use in the Edge extension store.
• Some other restrictions of various browsers themselves, currently known to Firefox does not allow use in https://support.mozilla.org/.

In these pages, the only way to use is to select text, right-click on the text you selected with the mouse, and then select [Translate the selected text on the web page (翻译网页中选中的文本)], after which 划词翻译 will pop up a standalone translation window and translate.

If you are not in the above pages but still cannot use 划词翻译, there are two possibilities:

• You just installed 划词翻译, in the pages opened before installation, you need to refresh the page before you can use 划词翻译 normally.
• 划词翻译 has been updated automatically, and you need to refresh the page before you can use 划词翻译 normally in the pages opened before the update.
