Standalone Translation Window

The standalone translation window is an independent translation panel that exists independently of the browser. Its main function is to translate content outside the browser with global shortcut keys, for details, please refer to Translate Content Outside the Browser.

It is one of the types of translation panels, for the usage introduction of the translation panel, please refer to Introduction to the Translation Panel.

The standalone window can be opened in the following ways:

  • Open the extension button popup page, and click the Standalone Translation Window button.
  • Press the global shortcut key Ctrl + Shift + 1 (macOS is Command + Shift + 1) set by the translation panel to open.

How to Keep the Standalone Translation Window Always on Top?​

Since the extension does not have the ability to keep the standalone translation window always on top, this feature can only be achieved through third-party software.

I have not used window always on top software on macOS, so I won't recommend it. If you find a better software that can keep the window always on top, you can recommend it to me, and I will write it here.
