Extension Button Popup Page

In the extension button popup page, you can configure the black / white list for the current page, and translate, open the standalone translation window, etc.

How to Open the Extension Button Popup Page​

The extension button popup page can be opened in the following ways:

  • Click the 划词翻译 icon on the right side of the browser address bar. If there is no 划词翻译 icon, click the second-to-last icon (looks like a jigsaw puzzle), and 划词翻译 will be listed inside, click to open.
  • Use the shortcut Ctrl + Q (macOS is Command + Q) to open. This is the default shortcut for 划词翻译 configuration, you can modify it in the Settings Page.

Components of the Extension Button Popup Page​

The extension button popup page is mainly composed of the following parts.

Black / White List Configuration​

The first line of the extension button popup page will display "Webpage selection is enabled on this page". Clicking on it will pop up the black / white list configuration panel, where you can add the current website or webpage to the black / white list. Pages added to the blacklist will disable webpage selection, while pages added to the whitelist will always enable webpage selection.

For example, you can add the entire website https://*.limingkai.cn to the blacklist, and then add https://hcfy.limingkai.cn to the whitelist.

On pages in the blacklist, the extension button will turn gray, and the text here will change to "Webpage selection is disabled on this page". If the current page is a page where the extension has no permission to operate, then the extension button will also turn gray, and the panel that configures the black / white list will not be displayed after expanding, but a prompt text will be displayed: "In the browser's built-in pages, you can only use 划词翻译 through the right-click menu [Translate this text].".

Translation Panel​

The second part of the extension button popup page is a translation panel, where you can enter text for translation. By default, when you open the extension button popup page, 划词翻译 will automatically read the text / image in the clipboard for translation.

Functional Buttons​

The third part of the extension button popup page is a row of functional buttons, which can currently open the built-in PDF reader and the standalone translation window.
