Update 划词翻译

When 划词翻译 releases a new version, you have three ways to update 划词翻译 to the new version:

  • Wait for your browser to automatically update to the new version.
    • This method is the most convenient, but it is slower because 划词翻译 must first pass the review of various browser extension stores (about 2 to 10 working days) before it is listed, and then your browser will automatically update to the latest version in 2 to 5 days.
  • Download the offline package to update 划词翻译.
    • This method is the fastest because it can skip the review / automatic update of the browser store and install the latest version directly, but the steps are more cumbersome. For detailed instructions, see Offline Installation of 划词翻译.
  • If the new version has been reviewed and listed in the extension store:
    • You can uninstall 划词翻译 and then reinstall it from the extension store. Not recommended, because uninstalling 划词翻译 will cause you to lose all data such as settings, history, bookmarks, etc.
    • Manually update through the following steps.

Manual Update Steps for Chrome / Edge​

  1. Open the extension management page (chrome://extensions)
  2. Turn on 【Developer mode】. This switch is in the upper right corner of Chrome and the lower left corner of Edge.
  3. Click the 【Update】 button and wait for the version number of 划词翻译 to be updated to the latest version v11.1.2.

Note for Edge Browser Users​

If you have installed the offline installation package of 划词翻译, you need to uninstall the offline installation package version of 划词翻译 first, then enable the 划词翻译 in the Edge Extension Store, and then follow the above manual update steps.

Manual Update Steps for Firefox​

  1. Right-click on the 划词翻译 icon on the right side of the browser address bar, select 【Manage Extensions】, and the extension details page of 划词翻译 will open.
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner, select 【Check for Updates】
  3. If there is a new version, then the dot icon in the upper right corner of the three-dot icon below the gear icon will display a dot. Click this icon, select 【Update Now】, and then wait for the version number of 划词翻译 to be updated to the latest version v11.1.2.

Update Steps for browsers with Chrome kernel such as QQ, 360, etc.​

Since 划词翻译 has not yet been listed in the plugin store of these browsers, you always need to upgrade through the offline installation package. See Offline Installation of 划词翻译.

Notes​

In the tabs opened before the update, 划词翻译 is invalid and needs to be refreshed to take effect. It is best to restart the browser after the update to ensure that 划词翻译 is fully effective.

If the version number has not changed, please confirm whether the version of 划词翻译 in the extension store is the latest version and whether you can open the Chrome Web Store normally.
